What is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a form of energy psychology that combines elements of traditional Chinese medicine, neuro-linguistic programming, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. It involves tapping on specific points on the body, known as meridian points, while focusing on a particular issue or emotion.

The premise behind EFT is that emotional problems and limiting beliefs can be caused by disruptions in the body’s energy system. By tapping on these specific points, the energy flow can be restored, releasing any negative energy and limiting beliefs that may be holding us back. The amygdala is a part of the brain that is involved in the processing of emotions, particularly those related to fear and stress. It is considered a key component of the limbic system, which is responsible for emotional responses and memory formation. 

Fight-or-Flight Response:The amygdala is central to the activation of the fight-or-flight response. When we encounter a perceived threat, the amygdala signals the release of stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, preparing the body to respond to the danger.

Emotional Memories:The amygdala is involved in the formation and storage of emotional memories. Traumatic or highly emotional events can create strong neural connections in the amygdala, contributing to the persistence of emotional reactions associated with those memories.

Fear Conditioning:The amygdala is crucial for fear conditioning, where associations are formed between a stimulus and a fearful response. This process is part of how we learn to associate certain situations or cues with emotional responses.

Limiting beliefs & Creating Cognitive Dissonance: While tapping on specific meridian points, using EFT we focus on the limiting belief they want to address. The act of tapping is thought to create cognitive dissonance, disrupting the usual thought patterns associated with the limiting belief.

In EFT, the process of tapping on specific meridian points is believed to interrupt the amygdala’s response to emotional triggers. By tapping while focusing on a specific emotional situation or issue, you can experience a decrease or even complete release in the emotional intensity associated with that issue. Many people feel a sense of disconnect to the the issue after tapping.

Tapping can be done at home, alone without a practitioner but as a certified EFT practitioner and subconscious mindset coach I lead you through a powerful session that goes much deeper than a basic EFT round.

02 -Getting to the root cause

Classes are based on specific topics and you might come to class thinking you know what you need to clear but before we start we will do some subconscious questioning to try to access the root of what might actually be going on.

03 – Bespoke tailored sessions

Small intimate group sessions allows for the tapping rounds to be tailored to specific memories or issues for those attending 

04 – Coaching support

Classes are kept to a very small number to allow participants to ask questions and seek coaching support to boost your tapping and help eliminate the issue.
